What is a Character Shoe?

It is a type of shoe with a leather sole designed to be worn on stage. There are many styles. They come without taps but taps can be attached to make them tap shoes.

Can I wear Ballroom shoes on the street?

No – true ballroom shoes have delicate suede soles that can be damaged by rough or damp surfaces

How can I be sure to properly size tights?

First come into our stores. Second use the sizing chart associated with each tight model. If in doubt choose the next size up. Modern tights are very stretchy and do not bag.

Why do pointe shoes, in particular, need professional fitting?

Pointe shoes are hand-made and generally not consistent. All styles have different dimensions and shapes and everybody’s feet are different. Remember feet change over time!

What is the Pointe Shoe Club?
